The Inaugural Edition

Good day folks.
This blog is born of the fact that there are not enough articles or sites online that take an in-depth look at the great club that is Manchester United... from Manchester united fans.
We will look to address that anomaly and discuss things affecting the club one way or the other.
So let’s hit the road then...

I deliberately restrained myself from starting this blog after the Leeds United game (the blog had been scheduled to start along with the year) because of obvious reasons... It was a bad way to start a new decade, losing to the scum from across... at Old Trafford.
So we kick off this week...

After the good year we had last year (2 trophies, a second consecutive Champions league final, an FA Cup semi-final), we look to the new decade with optimism, albeit not on the financial front- that’s for another day-that more trophies are on their way to Old Trafford.

Manchester United 0 -1 Leeds United (scum)
Contrary to the public outcry from that game, I think we didn’t do that bad and our youngsters did quite well... It’s just that we are playing the scum, so losing feels worse than normal...
And I also thought Dimitar Berbatov was our best player on the pitch because most of our chances came from him... Enough of the depressing stuff

Considering that if we won the weekend’s game, we would be top of the table- for only the second time this season- I thought Sir Alex should have gone for a 4-4-2 instead of the 4-5-1.
This eventually told because we had 67% of the possession, 10 shots on target as against the home team’s 5, and 12 corners as against the home teams’ 2... They actually scored from their first corner, if only we had a second striker on to take the load off Wayne Rooney...
It seemed like we were showing Birmingham too much respect changing our style...
Anyway, I still think we will win the Premier League this season. And that’s not just because I’m a fan.

On another note, what does Zoran Tosic have to do to get in the team?
Having seen him since last year in the reserves, I reckon he’s much better than reserve team football and he’s our second best winger if not the best... definitely better than Gabriel Obertan and Danny Welbeck playing on the left.
Sir Alex needs to give him a chance

On transfer front, Sir Alex says he can’t find value in the transfer market. I wouldn’t know, he’s the manager, but I reckon we need a very good midfielder in the team because we can’t rely on Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs for the whole season and another ‘more than decent’ winger.

Good news the last week from the United team was that Owen Hargreaves had started training with Reserves. We do help he comes in to play a wonderful part in the end of season run in.

Let’s hope Sir Alex does the right thing in the market and we end up with trophies this season...
